Responsible Mining Lead
Department for International Trade
Ros Lund is the Responsible Mining Lead within the Department for International Trade. Helping UK mining companies export technology and expertise, and invest in projects overseas, Ros is also responsible for attracting UK investment to support clean growth. Ros was part of the team responsible for the publication of the UK Critical Mineral Strategy released in July 2022.
Ros has directed more than 50 mining conferences in the UK and overseas. Ros created Mining on Top, a conference focused on mining’s role in development, which attracted 500 delegates in its second year.
Prior to mining, Ros spent 14 years in Payments, working for American Express and Barclaycard in a variety of business and commercial roles.
During her career, Ros has completed secondments to Germany, Sweden, and Ghana.
Ros is a qualified Six Sigma Black Belt and Corporate Coach and holds a BA Hons Social Ethics from Lancaster University.
